APSI received a 2015 Construction Management Project Achievement Award from the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) Northern California Chapter. The award was presented at the chapter’s Annual Awards Gala, held at the Hyatt Regency Embarcadero Center in San Francisco, CA, on May 21, 2015.
APSI was recognized in the category of Building Renovations under $10 million for the IRS Space Optimization Project in the Phillip Burton Federal Building & Courthouse, San Francisco, CA.
The project was a pilot for the IRS National Workplace Standard to reduce the space utilization rate per employee from 248 SF to 152 SF. This $2.5 million project was highly visible to the IRS in Washington, DC, as well as to our client, the General Services Administration, Region 9, in San Francisco.
Under the leadership of Jim Baynes, PE, LEED AP, APSI project manager, the project was delivered three weeks early to the IRS and $800,000 under budget.
The annual CMAA Project Awards recognizes excellence in Northern California projects.
