It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce our founder, Ashok Apte, has passed away. Ashok founded APSI in 1990 as a project controls firm, specializing in scheduling. He guided our transition into a full service PM/CM firm through the course of the 90s. For those of us fortunate enough to have learned from Ashok, we know fully the responsibility of carrying forward the culture he established - culture anchored by hard work, honesty, and love for your teammates. Congratulations to Tim Mo’unga, CCM, on receiving his Certified Construction Manager certification from CMCI. Tim is currently working on our Veterans Affairs Capital Improvement Program projects and we are very happy to have him as part of the APSI family. Great job Tim!
APSI was awarded this contract for construction management services to oversee chip seal and repair of park roads at Point Reyes National Seashore in Marin County, CA for the National Park Service (NPS). APSI has been providing services to NPS for over 10 years and we are excited to continue our relationship!
APSI was awarded construction management services for the $2.9 million Plaza Improvements Project at the San Francisco Federal Building for GSA. GSA is seeking to reimagine, redesign, and rebuild the public plaza in order to maximize its use by employees and the community. Region 9 has played a huge role in who APSI is over the past 25 years and we are excited to add another assignment to the growing list!
APSI was recently awarded this contract to provide construction management and commissioning services for the Fire Sprinkler and Fire Alarm Replacement Project at the Schneebeli Federal Building located in Williamsport, PA. We are excited to continue our relationship with GSA!
Saranya Arumugam, LEED AP BD+C, joins APSI as Interior Designer at our Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Healthcare System Capital Construction Program project. Saranya is a versatile designer with a keen eye for detail and has over 9 years of experience working as an architect on projects internationally. She is also a Registered Architect with the Council of Architecture and we are happy to have her on our team. Welcome aboard Saranya!
Julie Cardwell joins APSI as Construction Manager in our Sacramento region. Julie has 15 years of construction project management experience in the field on projects ranging from $100K - $400 million. She will be working on our on-call contracts with the City of Sacramento and the City of Stockton and we are happy to have her on team. Welcome aboard Julie!
APSI was proud to be a part of California State University, Fresno's groundbreaking ceremony for the new Lynda and Stewart Resnick Student Union on 2/20/2020. As Construction Manager, APSI is providing management and scheduling services for this $60M, LEED Gold project.
"The Resnick Student Union will forever represent the power of the student voice,” said Lauryn Florez, University Student Union board chair and student emcee for the event. “Students identified a need and took a bold step to make change. They worked tirelessly to ensure that future generations would have access to the resources they deserve and that is exactly what this building will provide."

APSI was recently awarded a $9.5 million project for construction management services of Fire Station 14 for the City of Sacramento. This new, 10,374 sf, Type VB facility will include firefighter operations and living quarters. We look forward to this project and continuing our relationship with the City of Sacramento!
