Ricardo Aviles recently joined APSI as Senior Estimator. Ricardo has 25 years of experience providing estimating and scheduling services for the design and construction of major commercial, education, and transportation projects. His detailed estimates and quantity takeoffs have included architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical costs from conceptual through construction for various commercial and educational projects including airport facilities, commuter rail lines and terminals, bridges and highways. With an engineering license and PSP certification, Ricardo will lead APSI’s estimating division.
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Gaithersburg, Maryland is located on a 578 acre research campus containing over 2.5 million gross square feet of research, office, and support space. Building 245 is a highly specialized facility built in 1964 for radiation physics measurements and research. It is the primary facility where NIST develops, maintains and disseminates the measurement standards and calibrations for electromagnetic radiation and radioactivity used by government and private industry throughout the United States and the world.

Shawn McPhie recently joined APSI to provide his expertise in recruiting. He has been staffing within the construction industry for over five years specializing in recruiting on skill sets relating to schedulers, estimators, construction managers, document controls, inspectors, and project engineers to name a few.
APSI was recently selected as one of the consultants to provide the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority with On-Call Construction Management services. VTA has an extensive inventory of property located throughout Santa Clara County and the mission of the Joint Development Program is to advance development at 23 identified joint development sites and other potential properties.
Amit is a graduate student at the University of Southern California, majoring in Construction Engineering and Management. Working in the construction industry in India and the United States for almost a year, his breadth of experience includes cost estimation, scheduling updates, site management, program management and document control.
Dave recently joined APSI and brings over 17 years of experience with a background in complex projects involving phased work, operational facilities, and secure facilities. He understands the importance of coordination with the facility to minimize necessary impacts to facility operations.
Julio recently joined APSI and has 18 years of project support experience. He is involved in all aspects of document control from supervising staff, assembling and issuing engineering work packages, QA/QC drawings, tracking and logging change orders as well as responding to RFIs. He is adept at creating and maintaining reports for high-level managers, program directors and project controls group data analysis. He also assists in budget control and consultant invoice payouts on projects ranging from $42 million to $1.2 billion. Julio is currently providing document control services for the Port of Long Beach.
John recently joined APSI and has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry. He is very familiar with working on tenant improvement projects for health care facilities, such as occupied Kaiser medical centers. John is currently serving as construction manager on the NARA roof refurbishment and the Santa Rosa fire alarm replacement projects, both for the General Services Administration.
As a recent graduate of Michigan Tech, Anurag joined the APSI team. His three years of experience ranges from installing casing for pipelines using trenchless technology to vertical construction of residential, public buildings and upgradation of electrical distribution systems, for both the public and private sectors.
