Marking the fourth year in a row, APSI’s Bay Area staff and their families volunteered their time at the Alameda County Community Food Bank 1/21/19 as part of their annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Morning of Service. This year, our tasks included creating 500 emergency food bags in an assembly line for furloughed federal employees.
Overall, the volunteers sorted through a grand total of 38,520 pounds of food — the equivalent of over 32,000 meals! Great job APSI!
